So I got my first tattoo this past Wednesday.  I have to say, it wasn’t really as bad as I was expecting it to be.  I signed up for a free tattoo from one of the apprentices @ the All or Nothing party a while back and got a call from Matt H. saying he had an opening if I knew what I wanted.  Brad and I had talked a while back about how it’d be cool if several of us that had anything to do with the Greenhouse got the logo tattooed on us.  He and Jenn got theirs shortly after we had talked about it, so now it was my turn.  Now I have mine… a year later.  haha!  Oh well, I’m very happy with it.  I also won a 3 hour credit with another artist there but he has since moved away.  I asked about it when I went to get my Greenhouse logo and they’re going to transfer my credit to Dave Tedder, which I’m pretty friggin excited about.  He is an absolutely amazing artist.  I’ll be waiting a while to get it since he’s booked solid for 2 or 3 months.  I’m okay with that.  It’ll just give me that much more time to save some extra money since I plan on applying that 3 hours toward a half-sleeve.

In other news, I am now a Store Manager again with Pet Supermarket.  I’ll be taking over the Duluth/Alpharetta store starting Monday.  I went there today to see how the drive was going to be and familiarize myself with where everything is in the store.  I’ve got my work cut out for me.  The store isn’t that bad, but I did see some things I’d like to change.

Well, I’m gonna go play with the dogs for a bit and try and get the house cleaned up.  Holla!

Yesterday, Justin and I went downtown to the Atlanta Brewing Company (the ones who make all the Red Brick beers) to take a tour of their brewery.  It was a great time.  Basically you pay $7 and you get a complimentary pint glass, you get to taste all their beers, listen to music, dance (if you’re the dancing type), and just hang out, meet new people and talk to the people that work there.  While they didn’t do an actual “tour”, you could still talk to the employees and they’d answer any question you have.  They’re very down-to-earth and personable.  To top the whole thing off, Justin wanted to buy some stuff from them so the guy that was running the bar had to come help him.  So in the meantime, he asked if I’d go watch the bar and get beers for people while he helped Justin.  That was awesome to me.  I think I might make this a regular thing.  Next is the Sweetwater Brewery though.  Definitely check out ABC/Red Brick if you haven’t already.  Guaranteed good time.

First, let me forewarn you that I don’t really believe this.  Sometimes when I’m sitting around doing nothing, I start to think about things.  My mind goes pretty far sometimes.  Here’s something I was thinking about a little while ago:

So, I’m sitting, browsing cichlid (fish) sites trying to find out more detailed information about certain species.  Then I start to think… “What if we were pets as well.  Think about it.  Fish have no idea they’re pets.  They just live in tanks in our homes and offices as if it were their own little world… or at least as best we can represent their world.  What if the scale were much larger?  Human size?  We wouldn’t really know.”

Then as I thought more about it, my mind took it further… “How would we ever know any different?  When you get a new pet, you generally go to a pet store or find a stray or something.  I don’t remember ever being taken home in a box or a bag.  What if when we are born, that’s as if we were being “taken home” or whatever, and our world is kinda like a large scale terrarium where we grow up, find food, live, etc.”

Weird things happen in my head sometimes.  Perhaps people are right when they look at me funny and say “You’re so weird!”  Oh well.

So I’ve decided to change the site a little bit. Be on the lookout for even more changes in the future. Basically what this site is going to consist of now is a series of daily (at least hopefully) videos called “MeToday”. This is something that I started a couple weeks ago, thanks to Brad. It’s been fun so far. Go here to see all the previous videos that didn’t make it on the site.
